By request I am continuing with this blog.
It has been a week since John was released from Methodist Hospital. Little by little he has regained some energy. He still has a long way to go until he feels 100%.
We visited Dr. Tarantolo yesterday, and we were reassured that it is typical for stem cell patients to take a long time to get back to normal. So, I guess we just need to be patient.
To be honest, I did not realize there would be such a long recovery once we got home from the hospital. And I am so grateful for the continued support of everyone. Thank you!

Hi, John, Toby, Sarah, and Kelsey,
ReplyDeleteNICE that you're all back in one place again. Even better that the place is home. No more commuting, at least for a while.
We're real happy for you. We intended to join the 'Food Fray for Scofes," but all spots were taken. However, you"ll need some snacks and fill-ins, so you'll see one of us from time to time with a bit of fresh fruit and maybe some veggies. We might even throw in a dog chew, but Kelsey, you must promise to share the chewy morsel with your sister.
Best of....Kat and Pathleen
Hi Tobi, John, Kelsy, Sarah,
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home and also glad you are back on blogging. I don't feel right bothering you at home I know how busy things get. Please call if you need anything.
Also staying away so John can reach the 100% mark.
I have been slightly sick with a cold. That's what happens when you brag about not having a cold for 2 years.
Keep us posted,
lots of love
Tamera
Isn't patience the pits?? And waiting for the body to heal just seems to take forever! But just think of a cold, or a pulled muscle, or even a scrape with a scab. Those sometimes take a week to 10 days to go away, minimum, and you've got ALL new stem cells! And have just been transplanted a month ago. So Happy Birthday to this first month! Even a broken bone, how long are you laid up with surgery or a cast? So hang in there you guys! Keep rotating between the couch, the bed, the chair...ok, and back to the couch! Slow and steady wins the race...Talk to you soon~Cindi
