A doctor who specializes in infectious diseases visits John daily. I asked him if I pose a risk to John (even though I have had a flu shot), and he assured me I was fine as long as I washed my hands. He even went on to say I am helping because I am bringing in “friendly” bacteria. Wow! I was so glad to hear this. Now, I feel like I am making a very important contribution to John’s recovery. And also, I am glad to know I am host to bacteria that “gets along well with others”. :)
In all seriousness, John’s energy is very low, and he is waiting for his white blood cell count to climb back up so he can go home.
Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts through this long journey.
Tobi

ReplyDeleteRainey called last night wanted to know if we were interested in taking anymore dance lessons. I told her I was lucky to get him in for one session. He doesn't think he will ever use it. so anyway it was fun for awhile. I liked it anyway.

ReplyDeleteHi Tob, thanks for keeping this up to date. Please tell John we have been thinking good thoughts for him. Drew got a pair of electric drum stick for his birthday and has been playing them nonstop! I am sure John will appreciate this. They even make good golf clubs!
ReplyDeleteTake care and never forget the power of positivity.

Tobi, from now on when I think of you I will think of you as friendly bacteria. It's gives a whole new feel to our friendship!
ReplyDeleteI hope his white count starts to climb soon - the kids I use to work with in Phoenix were sure that pizza made their WBC rise!
Thanks for writing this blog - it's so nice to know what's going on up in Omaha.
Lots of Love,
